FAKE NEWS: Philippine President Duterte Did Not Give a "Shoot to Kill" Order

In yet another display of fake news, the mainstream media is reporting that President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered his military and police to shoot people that violate the current coronavirus lockdown.

My orders to the police and military… if there is trouble and there’s an occasion that they fight back and your lives are in danger, shoot them dead.

Is that understood? Dead. Instead of causing trouble, I will bury you.

Every country, including the Philippines, has a use of force continuum as a human right to self-defense, but also as a government right to defend.

And yes… shooting someone dead is part of that escalation and someone’s life being in danger is a justification for the use of that force.

A CBS News report by Senior Producer Christina Capatides reads:

“Shoot them dead”: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte orders police and military to kill citizens who defy coronavirus lockdown

That headline is not only misleading and misdirected, but it is also a clear example of irresponsible journalism.

Duterte’s comments were clearly directed towards citizens that endanger the lives of the Philippine police and military. Yet, this reporter chose to change the words and rewrite the narrative to fit hers. Instead of anyone that puts military or police in danger, her magical pen made it “all citizens who dare to defy the lockdown“.

So let’s wrongly assume the report is just an ignorant misinterpretation of the President’s words, these people should either seek the training they need in order to accurately report on what’s said or just stay home and read about it somewhere else.

Now, I’m not arguing that President Duterte sometimes may have a poor choice for words… much like American President Donald Trump.

Just as the shock-jocks of the 80s had to make statements to “shock” their audience to get noticed in the crowded DJ market, the Common Era politician has to be louder than the mainstream media and their sympathizers just to be heard.

The 21st Century politician now has only a fraction of a second to make an impact because of an immediate news cycle, a far-left social media conglomerate and an extremely biased big media cartel.

Duterte rules with an iron hand, he always has.

The people that voted for him knew this and most of his people love him for it. He doesn’t commit genocide. He’s not Hussein or Gaddafi – he just speaks what’s on his mind and administers justice the way he sees fit – which is what the people of the Philippines elected him for.

Yes, somehow, mainstream wants to paint a picture of some God awful Asian tyrant with one hand around the throat and the other in the pockets of his Filipino constituents.

I would much rather my political leader speak what’s on his/her mind and deliver his news to me the way he means it – instead of the hyperbolic fluff bullshit that has long been a political staple.

True, Duterte could have worded it differently.

Both he and Trump could be more “Presidential” – but is what they are saying wrong? No. Not exactly. In today’s climate with an abundance of liberal communist socialist fragile minds, however, harsh talk is usually soul-crushing to the weaker-minded sheep.

There is no one else in the world who is as susceptible to the level of scrutiny no matter what they say. So, I applaud them both for speaking what’s on their minds to make sure their message is clearly understood – until the media runs with their interpretation, that is.

As of late, it’s almost like all of the “refined” good people of this world just expect the world leaders to roll over and let anarchy come in – to be reactive, instead of proactive. But I’m not sure what is worse – the media, or Amnesty International.

Amnesty started out with good intentions in 1961 – but they have become nothing more than a left-wing hit squad and are only concerned with “amnesty” when it fits their narrative.

It is deeply alarming that President Duterte has extended a ‘shoot to kill’ policy to law enforcement agencies. Deadly, unchecked force should never be used in an emergency such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amnesty International Philippine Section Director Butch Olano

First of all: deadly, unchecked force should never be used, period. However, a pro-anarchist group such as Amnesty could never be able to tell the difference.

Irresponsible statements such as this coming from Amnesty Philippine Section Director Butch Olero should be heavily criticized.

Instead, however, he is lauded by his gestapoish international organization that attacks government heads that decline to follow its anti-capital under-any-circumstance punishment doctrine to the letter.

An organization with the name Amnesty, of all groups, should be all for a person using their God-given right to defend themselves in the face of certain danger. But, it doesn’t fit the agenda they’re pushing unless of course, it was a citizen murdering a public service employee.

Following a close pattern with the “Hands-Up, Don’t Shoot” movement that has since been deemed as a lie to generate unwarranted public sympathy and outcry in the United States, Olero’s statement not only shows how ignorant the group can be but also shows Olero knows nothing about people in general.

Instead of saying what he really means (like the 2 Presidents oftentimes are heavily criticized for), what Olero really means to say – is that deadly force should never be used, under any circumstance whatsoever, but because there’s a pandemic going on right now – that’s the perfect angle to push my agenda and get even more sympathy for my cause.
